Letters and papers, 1825-1863.

Collection includes a letter from 1825 to Dudley Leavitt posing geometrical questions, and a letter of 1863 to his cousin, Joseph H. Tuck, with his views on the course of the war. Manuscripts include a discussion of the Drake arms, and a 5 p. description of Boston as it was inhabited in 1650 (possibly a chapter to a book).
